Turon River (1 Day)

This is a great day away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We will explore the Turon River National Park, Turon Gates and some great bush tracks.

Great scenery, river crossings and great bush tracks await us on this delightful tour. Starting in Lithgow we will introduce you to some delightful riverside camp sites in Turon River National Park, where we will stop for morning tea. Then its via some very scenic back roads as we guide you to even more delightful camping areas along the Turon River at Turon Gates. The delightful rural roads wind around the hills of this little known area and will bring us back to the Turon River where we will stop for a picnic lunch. To finish the day off we have another superb touring trail to follow that again meanders beside the Turon River with even more future camping possibilities for you to explore. We will emerge from this beautiful valley near the little locality of Sunny Corner and guide you back towards Lithgow to end a perfect one day escape.

Basic Requirements For This Tour

The 4WD
Suitable to 4WDrives with high and low range.
No other vehicle requirements are required

Fuel
A full tank from Lithgow is sufficient

Spares/equipment
A UHF radio – we can hire you a radio

Driver experience 
Prior experience not necessary as we will assist you as we go or you might consider attending our driver training course. - Do you require Driver Training?

Food
This is a self catered tour, bring your own food and drink requirements, no BBQ’s

Refund Policy

Great Divide Tours reserves the right to cancel or alter any tour or course at any time. Great Divide Tours will determine if any refund is due if this action occurs.

In the event of you canceling a booking the following refund policy applies. Deposits are non refundable. If your booking can be reallocated to another participant then the deposit can be transferred to another tour of your choice which must be taken within 18 months of the original booked tour. The full tour fee is payable 1 week prior to the tour and is not refundable after this time. You should consider taking out Travel Insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances including illness, vehicle problems or family matters.
